US Senate approves $705mn military aid to Israel

The US congress has dramatically increased its budget to help boost Israel’s weapons programs. The 705-million-dollar in military aid to Israel is considered a record high in US history. The Israeli minister of military affairs has thanked Washington’s assistance and commitment to Israel’s security. Avigdor Liberman said the increase of funding was requested for the production of three Israeli missile systems, including Iron Dome. The US support and assistance for Israel was multiplied ever since President Donald Trump took office in January 2017. As part of his Israeli appeasement policies, Trump also recognized Jerusalem al-Quds as Israel’s capital last year in violation of international law. The move sparked outrage among Muslim and non-Muslim countries around the world.
