US seeks to 'justify threatening Iran' regarding its missile program, pundit says

Washington’s concern with Iran’s ballistic missile program merely serves “propaganda purposes” in order for the US administration to justify its threats against the Islamic Republic. This is what Sara Flounders, co-director of the International Action Center, had to say on the subject of the interview she gave to Press TV.
“The allegations are meant to justify making threats on Iran and also particularly to justify continuing and increasing the sanctions on Iran, so they make the charge whether it has any factual basis at all, which it does not, they make the charge just to up the political level of threats in the region,” Flounders said.
Iran has repeatedly reiterated the defensive and deterrent nature of its missile program and said the country’s missile capabilities have so far played an “effective” role in improving regional peace and stability.
