US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is in Thailand in the highest level visit by a U-S official since a military coup in 2014 in the South-east Asian country.
During his visit, Tillerson is expected to discuss the issue of North Korea and call for a halt to funding streams for Pyongyang. Boosting bilateral relations will also be in focus, as they were downgraded following the coup which brought Thailand closer to China. Tillerson's visit follows his attendance at a regional security forum in the Philippines capital, Manila, over the weekend.
