Israel has arrested an unprecedented number of Palestinians in occupied territories over the last two months.
Several rights groups published figures indicating that Israeli troops have arrested some one-thousand-two-hundred and sixty-eight Palestinians in June and July. According to the figures, the Israeli forces made 388 arrests in June across the West Bank, the Gaza Strip and Jerusalem Al-Quds. In July, they detained an additional 880 Palestinians. Tensions between Palestinians and the Israeli regime have been on the rise since Tel Aviv imposed restrictions on the entry of Palestinian worshipers into the al-Aqsa Mosque Compound in August 20-15.
