The United Nations has raised alarm over the surge in using children as QUOTE-“human bombs” by Boko Haram terrorists.
According to UNICEF since the start of the year, 83 children have been used by the terror group to carry out bomb attacks in northeast Nigeria. The organization added that the number was four times as many as in all of 20-16. The U-N Children’s agency says 55 of those children were girls under the age of 15. UNICEF said the tactic has caused fear and suspicion of children released or rescued from Boko Haram. Over 20-thousand people have been killed and more than two million others were displaced since the emergence of the terror group in the West African country in 2009.
