Cuba probing incident involving US diplomats

Cuba says it has started an investigation into alleged incidents that affected some U-S diplomats in Havana, and roiled relations with the U-S.
The Cuban government said it was ready to cooperate with Washington after some U-S diplomats began suffering unexplained hearing losses while in Cuba. U-S officials allege that an advanced sonic device was used near the residences of the diplomats causing the hearing loss. The officials haven’t been able to ascertain whether the device was used in a deliberate attack or had some other purpose. The U-S State Department says about five diplomats had been affected. Washington has expelled two Cuban diplomats in May in retaliation. Cuba denies any involvement in the incident. The U-S embassy in Havana reopened in 20-15 as part of then-President Barack Obama’s policy to renew relations with the Caribbean nation.
