Burkina Faso terror attack kills at least 18

Burkina Faso says the operation against the gunmen who attacked a Turkish restaurant in capital Ouagadougou is over.

Communications Minister Remis Dandjinou said however that searches of the neighborhood around the restaurant are continuing. He confirmed a total of 18 dead, with two terrorists killed. The victims came from different nationalities. Among the dead were at least one French and one Turkish nationals. The official said two of the attackers were killed by the security forces. Police say three or four assailants arrived at the restaurant on motorcycles and then began shooting randomly at the crowd. There has been no immediate claim of responsibility.
