Pakistan says it is determined to eliminate the Daesh terrorists located in the tribal areas near its border with Afghanistan, adding that the recent military operations against the takfiris were vital in order to halt their spread into the country.
Ghafoor also said Afghanistan should take the same measures on its soil. He stressed that no other country was allowed to set foot in Pakistan with the aim of participating in the operation. Elsewhere in his remarks, the spokesperson said a fence was being put up along the border with Afghanistan, which would be heavily monitored. The operation aims to enhance the area’s security by preventing Daesh and other terrorists from infiltrating into the country. Some 500 families who resided in the border areas are relocated to safer places.
