US Democrats have leveled a harsh criticism against a Republican healthcare bill that is intended to replace the Affordable Care Act, otherwise known as Obamacare.
House of Representatives’ minority leader, Nancy Pelosi, questioned how GOP lawmakers could support the bill in good conscience. Senator Chris Murphy described the proposal as a QUOTE human catastrophe waiting to happen. Lawmaker Elizabeth Warren called the proposal’s tax savings for the wealthy as blood money. Democratic senator Bernie Sanders who has been one of the bill’s prominent critics called it a cynical and immoral proposal. He referred to the latest Congressional Budget Office report in this regard.
