Trump's executive order to take place on Thursday

The Controversial travel ban ordered by U-S President Donald Trump and partially confirmed by the Supreme Court comes into effect on Thursday.

The Homeland Department has announced that it is working with the State and Justice Departments to implement the order that affects people from six Muslim-majority countries; namely Iran, Syria, Yemen, Libya, Somalia and Sudan. All applicants, as well as refugees, are required to prove close family or business ties to the U-S to be eligible to enter the country. Green-card holders, Journalists, students, workers or lecturers with valid invitations or contracts would be exempt from the ban. The White House says it needs the 90-day ban to review the visa vetting process. The Trump administration has described the high court’s decision to lift the obstacles put by lower courts on the ban as a victory.
