Nigerian gov't sets aside $25 million in humanitarian assistance




The Nigerian government has set aside 25 million dollars to help people affected by ongoing fighting in the northeast. Vice President Yemi Osinbajo says around 1 point 8 million people will benefit from aid and that 50 kilograms of grains will be distributed to each family every month. Charity organisation estimate around 1.4 million people are facing an emergency, and an additional 44,000 are close to starvation.
