Syria says Israel has targeted residential areas in the Golan Heights where the army was repelling an attack by al-Nusra Front terrorists.
The Syrian military said Israeli warplanes carried out assaults against Baath city in Quneitra province at the same time the terrorists were attacking the area. The army has reported a number of civilian casualties in the Israeli raids. Tel Aviv says it targeted two artillery positions and an ammunition truck in the province after projectiles errantly landed in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. This is the second Israeli attack in less than two days.
