US President Donald Trump has said that he is under investigation for obstruction of justice, confirming reports that Special Counsel Robert Mueller is overseeing a probe into the alleged Russian interference in the American presidential election.

“I am being investigated for firing the FBI Director by the man who told me to fire the FBI Director! Witch Hunt,” the president wrote in his tweet on Friday.
