Ghana's Cocoa Woes: Regulator reports $2.2 billion in debt, misses targets
Ghana's cocoa regulator has reported that it is $2.2 billion in debt,
after missing production targets last season and a slump in global
prices. The country's Cocoa Board has suffered $1 billion in revenue
losses in the current season, which began in October. Future contract
prices have also fallen.
