An Iraqi airstrike has killed 15 terrorists in Mosul’s last major district under Daesh control outside the Takfiri group’s headquarters in the old city.
The airstrike targeted a terrorist gathering near the city’s al-Jumhuri hospital in Al-Shifa district north of the old city. According to the Iraqi military, seven foreign nationals are among the terrorists killed. The Iraqi military command says it hopes to recapture AL-Shifa district in the coming days completing the encirclement of the old city. Baghdad says an operation will start very soon to liberate the Daesh stronghold from different directions. The terror group has used the historic area as its headquarters since 20-14 when it announced its rule in Iraq and Syria.
