2 Ukrainian soldiers killed hours after truce

Clashes in the east of Ukraine have taken the lives of two Ukrainian soldiers only a few hours after a new ceasefire between pro-Russian fighters and government troops went into force.

Ukraine’s military says two other soldiers have also been injured. The pro-Russia militia, however, claim that government forces have violated the truce several times. The warring sides have agreed to stop fighting so that farmers can harvest crops. The truce is set to last until the end of August. Fighting between government forces and pro-Russia fighters in the east has killed more than 10-thousand people and displaced over a million since it began in 2014.
