Violence kills 38 soldiers, civilians across Afghanistan

Another bloody day in Afghanistan as attacks across the country leave 38 people dead and dozens of others injured.
The Taliban have claimed responsibility for a car bombing in the eastern province of Khost that killed at least 18 people and wounded a further eight. The Taliban also clashed with the security forces in the northwestern province of Badghis. The exchange of fire killed 22 militants, six government soldiers and eight civilians. Elsewhere authorities in the eastern Nangarhar province say 15 terrorists from a Daesh affiliated group and six civilians have been killed. The circumstances of the deaths have not been made clear immediately. Almost 17 years after the United States invaded Afghanistan under the pretext of fighting terrorism, violence continues to plague the country.
