US Department of Justice: No federal charges against officers

Authorities in the United States have decided not to charge police officers involved in the 2016 fatal shooting of an African-American man in the state of Louisiana.
Amundson said his department expressed condolences to the relatives of the victim and shared the findings with them. He added that making a public statement in cases of declination of charges was not usual but the justice department felt the measure was the right thing to do here. Shortly after the announcement, the victim’s family expressed disappointment over the Justice Department’s decision.
