Iran's incumbent president Hassan Rouhani says he is opposed to making promises without really thinking about ways of making good on them. The incumbent president made the comment during a ceremony in which he inaugurated the mass production of new automobiles at Islamic Republic’s carmaker Iran-Khodro. The incumbent president also said he will always welcome domestic production while trying to attract foreign investment. Rouhani added that Iran had to take the opportunity when foreign firms expressed willingness to export capital and technology to Iran. The president said he had lived up to his 2013 campaign pledge of bringing progress to Iran’s industrial sector alongside its nuclear program. The incumbent president described constructive interaction with other countries as one of his administration’s achievements.
