Iran: US missile strike on Syria meant to boost terrorists

Iran’s defense minister says the recent US missile strike on Syria was meant to boost terrorists’ morale and ensure the security of Israel.
Brigadier General, Hossein Dehghan, made the comment in a meeting with visiting chief of Syria’s armed forces, General Ali Abdullah Ayoub. Dehghan also warned that any act of aggression against Syria by its neighbors only fuels the crisis in the country. Dehghan urged respect for Syria’s territorial integrity and steps to counter terrorists there. The defense minister said the terror that has affected Syria and Iraq would turn into a global threat if not curbed. He also condemned Saudi Arabia’s support for the terrorists, saying it leads to an escalation in the region. Ayoub, for his part, said Israel is openly backing terrorists in Syria. He said Israel and the US are using Daesh and Nusra terrorists to break up Islamic countries in the region.
