In Iraq, three car bombs have killed at least 14 people, including seven members of security forces. Dozens more have been wounded.
An explosion struck a police checkpoint in southern Baghdad. Gunshots could be heard in the ensuing panic. A second blast hit a nearby street crowded with civilians. The twin attacks killed 11 people in the Iraqi capital and wounded 20 others. A third explosion targeted a checkpoint in the southern city of Basra killing three soldiers and wounding three others. No group has claimed responsibility for the attacks in the Iraqi capital that bore the hallmarks of Daesh terrorists. The Takfiri group has claimed responsibility for the car bombing in Basrah.
