8 people killed, nearly 30 injured in Kabul blast

A huge blast has ripped through the Afghan capital Kabul, killing at least 8 people.
The blast happened near the U-S embassy injuring nearly thirty others. The explosion is said to have targeted a convoy of NATO personnel vehicles. Official reports say three U.S. service members were wounded in the attack. Afghan security officials have been dispatched to the area to investigate the incident. No one has claimed responsibility for the attack. The attack however, follows a threat by the Taliban to target foreign forces in the group’s spring offensive.
