1,500 militants, families leave Damascus suburb

At least 15-hundred militants and their families have evacuated al-Qabun neighborhood, northeast of the Syrian capital Damascus.
Buses carried the militants to the northwestern province of Idlib. The evacuation came after a deal was reached between government forces and foreign-backed militants following heaving fighting. On Friday, over 12-hundred people left Barzeh and Tishrin neighborhoods under similar agreements. According to the National Defense Forces and a U-K based monitoring group, the militants agreed to surrender and hand over their weapons in exchange for safe passage to other areas. The offensive to fully liberate the neighborhood started nearly two weeks ago.
