Venezuelan opposition plans "largest" protests

Venezuelan opposition leaders say they are planning their largest ever protests against the government of embattled President Nicolas Maduro.
According to another opposition lawmaker, the people of Venezuela are in need of food and healthcare, but their legitimate demands are suppressed in the streets with tear gas and firearms. The organizers will call for peaceful rallies in 26 different locations in the capital city Caracas in order to prevent the police from breaking up the protests. Although the demonstrations are planned to start in different locations, they will later converge in central parts of Caracas. Widespread shortages of basic goods have sparked violent anti-government protests across Venezuela in recent months. Maduro accuses the opposition of conspiring with international actors to destabilize the country.
