US troops hit in area where MOAB was dropped

Two US soldiers have been killed and another wounded in clashes with a Daesh-affiliated group in Afghanistan’s Eastern province of Nangarhar. The Pentagon has confirmed the deaths of the two American troops, saying the fighting took place on Wednesday night. According to the US military, the soldiers came under attack as they were accompanying Afghan troops. The American forces were attacked by Daesh in the same region where the US dropped its largest non-nuclear bomb known as the Mother of All Bombs two weeks ago. The US claims it’s maintaining Afghanistan’s security, by stationing thousands of forces in the war-torn country.
