A US drone strike has killed ten people in Pakistan’s North Waziristan, close to the Afghanistan border.
Local authorities say the attack has killed at least three civilians. Pakistani officials say the strike was carried out by the United States, but US officials have not made any statements on the incident so far. If confirmed, the strike would be the second of its kind in Pakistan since US President Donald Trump took office in January. Islamabad has repeatedly condemned US strikes on its soil as a violation of its sovereignty. Washington insists that its drones only target militant strongholds and gatherings in Muslim countries, but many civilians have fallen victim to the strikes.
