In the U-S, a federal appeals court has blocked the release of videos showing a prisoner being force-fed at Guantanamo Bay.
In its ruling, the court in Washington cited national security interests which it said surpass the public interests in what happens at the prison. The decision reverses a lower federal court ruling that had approved the release after a lawsuit by a dozen media companies arguing the public had the right to see them. The U-S Army recorded the force-feeding of a prisoner on a hunger strike, to provide training to those who conduct the controversial measure.
