Documents have emerged that suggest one of US President Donald Trump’s
associates might have shared sensitive information with the Russian
intelligence service.Court filings show Carter Page, a foreign policy advisor to Trump’s presidential campaign, met with Russian intelligence operative Victor Podobnyy in 20-13. According to the papers, the Russian agent tried to recruit Page as an intelligence source. Page acknowledged in a statement Monday that he shared basic immaterial information and publicly available research documents with Podobnyy. This comes as the FBI and congressional committees are probing allegations of Russian interference in the 20-16 U-S presidential election and possible ties between the Trump campaign and Moscow.
