Snipers kill 119 Saudi troops in first quarter 2017

The Yemeni army says nearly 120 Saudi soldiers have been killed by its snipers in the first quarter of 2017. The army said the attacks were carried out in Saudi Arabia’s Jizan, Najran and Asir regions near the border with Yemen. It said most operations were conducted in the Jizan region, where some 74 Saudi troops lost their lives after their positions were targeted by Yemeni forces. On Saturday, Yemeni snipers shot dead two Saudi soldiers at a military base in the Jizan region. The attacks are conducted in retaliation for Riyadh’s military aggression, which has claimed the lives of over 12-thousand Yemenis since March 2015.
