President Hassan Rouhani says Iran will soon become self-sufficient in gasoline production. Rouhani made the announcement in the southern port city of Bandar Abbas where he has opened the first phase of the Persian Gulf Star Refinery. He said Iran will stop importing gasoline by early 2018 and will gradually start to export it. Rouhani says oil products using gas extracted from South Pars field will help the Islamic Republic move towards achieving the goals of the resistance economy in line with the directives of Iran’s Leader.
