Jahangiri: Economy remains major concern for Iranians

Economy remains a major concern for the majority of Iranians and a top priority in Iran’s presidential campaign. That’s what moderate challenger Es’haq Jahangiri says. The 60-year-old candidate believes lowering the unemployment rate is a demanding job but technically possible. Jahangiri, who is currently the first vice-president, says the next government should encourage investment and production in order to bring down the unemployment rate. He also says that the new administration should address people’s purchasing power, which has drastically reduced in the past few years due to economic malfunctions.
