Fillon: France may face same fate as Greece

French conservative presidential candidate Francois Fillon has warned that his country may face the same fate as debt-ridden Greece.
Fillon says that France is a failing state with a massive public debt that is forced to seek billions of euros each day on international markets. Fillon’s campaign is based on cutting government spending and deficit. After a scandal over his wife receiving money for a fake job, Fillon lost his position as a favorite in the presidential race. Recent opinion polls show him in third place, behind Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen. Last year, France's public debt stood at 96 percent of its G-D-P. The debt makes France the seventh most indebted country in the European Union.
