The US military has carried out fresh drone strikes in Yemen, killing at least eight people. An early morning strike hit a car in the central Ma’rib province. US military officials were quoted as saying that the car was carrying arms for al-Qaeda terrorists in Yemen. The officials said all five fatalities were al-Qaeda members.
