US bid to seizure Iran's assets rejected

On the sidelines of a cabinet meeting in Tehran, Valiollah Seif said the U-S has appealed the ruling. He added that Iran’s Legal Services Office as well as lawyers of the Central Bank of Iran are following up on the issue until the final verdict is issued. US daily “the New York Times” had reported that one-point-six billion dollars of Iranian assets were frozen in a Luxemburg bank as compensation for the victims of Sep 11, 2001 attacks. Washington claims Iran helped al-Qaeda in conducting the raids. The Islamic Republic has repeatedly rejected the allegation as false and unsubstantiated. Of the 19 hijackers that carried out the 9-11 attacks, 15 were Saudi nationals.
