Trump's son-in-law Kushner to testify over meeting with Russia

US President Donald Trump’s son-in-law has agreed to testify before the Senate Intelligence Committee investigating ties between Trump's aides and Russian officials.

Jared Kushner, who is also Trump’s key advisor, is expected to be questioned about his interactions with Russian ambassador to the US, Sergei Kislyak. The two had met at New York’s Trump Tower in December. Kushner has allegedly served as the official primary point of contact with foreign officials. Senators Richard Burr and Mark Warner have said Kushner would certainly not be the last person to testify before the intelligence committee. They said the inquiry is part of an investigation into whether Russia sought to influence the 2016 US presidential election.
