The British prime minister says she will return to parliament before the end of March to trigger Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty on exiting the European Union. Theresa May said the bill’s approval would allow Britain to forge a new relationship with Europe and give Britain a new role in the world. She said Brexit would allow the country to be a strong self-governing country with control over its borders and laws. She said her country would also use this opportunity to build a stronger economy and a fairer society so they can secure the right deal for Britain abroad and for ordinary working people at home. She added that the negotiated deal will work for the UK as a whole, adding London is working closely with the devolved administrations, including the Scottish government.
