SDF cuts key supply route to Daesh-held Raqqah

The Syrian Democratic Forces consisting of Kurdish and Arab fighters continue advancing toward Raqqah as they press ahead with their offensive to dislodge Daesh from the Syrian city.

According to a U-K-based monitoring group, the Syrian Democratic Forces have cut a key supply route between the terrorist group’s stronghold and their territories in Dayr al-Zawr province. The group says the S-D-F launched the offensive with support from the U-S air power. Raqqah fell to Daesh in 20-14 and has been described as the terror group’s de facto capital in Syria. The U-S-led coalition against Daesh has put its weight behind the S-D-F.
