Russian bank confirms meeting with Jared Kushner

A Russian bank, under Western economic sanctions, has confirmed that its executives have met with US president Trump’s son-in-law and senior advisor.
The State Development Bank says the meeting between Jared Kushner and its executives took place in December. The bank says representatives of financial institutions discussed strategies for development banks. The Russian bank was placed under sanctions over Russia's incursion into Ukraine. Kushner has agreed to testify before the Senate Intelligence Committee investigating ties between Trump's aides and Russian officials. He is expected to be questioned about his interactions with Russian ambassador to the US, Sergei Kislyak. The two met at New York’s Trump Tower in December. The inquiry is part of a probe into whether Moscow sought to influence the 2016 US presidential election.
