
The International Committee of the Red Cross says seven civilians are receiving treatment for exposure to chemical agents near the Iraqi city of Mosul.
The ICRC says the patients include five children. They were admitted to a hospital in Erbil over the past two days. The international Committee of the Red Cross has condemned the use of chemical weapons during the fighting in Mosul. The battle is ongoing against the Daesh terror group. According to the London-based information services company, IHS Markit, Daesh terrorists have in the past used chemical weapons for at least 50 times in Iraq and Syria. They’ve also used the weapons at least 19 times in the areas around Mosul since they overran the city in 2014.
