Tensions flare in the French capital Paris for a third consecutive night as hundreds of people continue protesting against what they call police brutality.
Riot police have fired tear gas to disperse angry crowds who hurled barricades at them. Protests have gripped the French capital following the police killing of a Chinese man on March 26. Authorities claim the 56-year old attacked the officers with a pair of scissors. But the victim's family says he posed no threat. Last month, Paris also witnessed a wave of protests against police brutality, which were instigated by news that officers had raped and abused a young black man.
