Over 130 foreign policy experts have denounced U.S. President Donald Trump’s revised executive order, which bans six predominantly Muslim countries from entering the country.
The group of bipartisan experts said the order would put at risk the US relationship with allies, who help in -vital counter-terrorism co-operation and information-sharing. Former Secretaries of State Madeline Albright and John Kerry as well as several high-ranking military officials are among the signatories. Trump’s new order temporarily blocks the entry of travelers from six nations for 90 days. It also bans all refugees from entering the U.S. for 120 days. The previous travel ban provoked widespread protests and was brought to a halt by a federal court of appeals.
