
South Korea's military said the launches were made in Tongchang-ri area and the missiles flew about one-thousand kilometers. The U-S has condemned North Korea's new missile tests, pledging to defend itself and its allies from any possible attacks by Pyongyang. American officials have, however, said that the launches did not involve any inter-continental ballistic missiles. Russia has also expressed concern about the launches, saying they will increase tensions in the region. Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has also slammed the missile launch, saying it poses a new level of threat.
