The Al-Hurriyah bridge is the second one secured by the Iraqi forces since last month. All five bridges over the Tigris have been blown up by Daesh terrorists. But their recapture and repair would facilitate efforts by the government troops and the allied forces who are marching on the western side of the city. The united forces are now trying to reach the Old City from the southern front and have already made their way into several neighborhoods in the central sector of western Mosul.
