The US State of Hawaii plans to file the first lawsuit against a revised travel ban signed by President Donald Trump.
Attorneys for the state say they want to file a motion Wednesday asking a federal judge to issue a temporary restraining order blocking implementation of the new travel ban. Trump signed a new executive order Monday banning foreign nationals from six Muslim-majority countries from entering the US for 90 days and banning all refugees for 120 days. The order, which takes effect on March 16, is different from the first one issued in January in which it excludes Iraq, and applies only to new visa applicants.
