Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte rejects as unacceptable Turkish President’s comments about the treatment of Turkish ministers in the European country.
Rutte said Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s remarks will not help de-escalate the situation between Ankara and Amsterdam. Erdogan had called the Netherlands a Nazi remnant. He said the actions of the Netherlands, just like other western nations, contradict its talk of democracy and human rights. Erdogan’s Nazi comparison drew an angry reaction from German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
