Condemnations pour in following Wednesday’s deadly bomb attacks in the Syrian capital Damascus.
UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan De Mistura says the terrorist attacks in Damascus are aimed at spoiling efforts to sustain political talks over Syria’s conflict. Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman has also denounced the blasts, saying terrorists are exacting revenge on innocent civilians for their heavy defeats on political and military fronts in Syria. Meanwhile, the Lebanese resistance movement has condemned the attacks as an act of terrorism. Hezbollah says terrorists carried out the bombings in response to gains by Syrian government forces and their allies during anti-terror operations. Yemen’s Ansarullah movement also condemned the bombings. Ansarullah said such criminal acts cannot crush the Syrians’ resistance against terrorists. On Wednesday, two terrorist attacks hit Damascus, leaving over 30 people dead and scores of others injured.
