US secretary of state to meet Mexican president

US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is in Mexico for a meeting with President Enrique Pena Nieto.
US officials say Tillerson and Pena Nieto will discuss trade, ways to curb illegal immigration and drug trafficking. Mexico’s foreign minister had earlier said that he would not accept new US immigration proposals. US President Donald Trump has outraged Mexico by vowing to build a wall along the border to keep migrants away. Tillerson is now expected to ease diplomatic tensions over Trump’s tough trade and immigration policies. Pena Nieto canceled a planned meeting with Trump in Washington last month in reaction to the US leader's pledge to make Mexico pay for the wall.
