
One of the challenges President Farmajo is facing coming into office is the widespread drought in Somalia. Various humanitarian agencies have raised the alarm, about food security in both Somalia and South Sudan. The appeal for assistance has prompted the UK to pledge aid packages of 125 million dollars to each country.
