President Donald Trump says the United State needs to have the top-notch nuclear arsenal in the world.
Trump made the comment when responding to questions about North Korea. He said his country has fallen behind in its nuclear weapons capacity. Trump also called on China to increase pressure on Pyongyang to stop its nuclear activities. He said Beijing has tremendous control over North Korea. Trump also defended Washington’s deployment of missile defense system, known as THAAD, in Southeast Asia. The United States currently has nearly seven thousand nuclear warheads. It is the first country ever to have used such weapons in a war. America’s atomic bombing of Japan killed thousands of people in Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945.
