Thousands of Haitian migrants stranded at the US-Mexico border


While the United States moves to deport undocumented immigrants, border cities in Mexico are experiencing an immigration crisis of their own. Haitian migrants have found themselves stranded and unable to enter the US due to strict new policies. Thousands of Haitian immigrants have fled their country in 2010 after a devastating earthquake. Many moved to Brazil. But an economic crisis there led to their decision to travel more than 8,000 kilometers over land, in a desperate attempt to enter the US without documents.
